Educational Qualification
Eligible candidates must hold a relevant engineering degree with minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) .

DTL Assistant Manager Trainee Selection Process 2026
The DTL Assistant Manager Trainee recruitment does not involve a separate written examination or CBT. Candidates will be shortlisted and selected based on their GATE 2026 normalized marks in the relevant GATE paper. Separate merit lists will be prepared for Electrical, Non-Electrical and Civil posts.

DTL Assistant Manager Trainee Salary 2026
Selected candidates will initially be appointed as Assistant Manager Trainees in Pay Level-09 with the Central DA pattern and applicable company allowances. After successful completion of the prescribed training, candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Managers in Pay Level-10.

Training Period
The selected candidates will undergo one year of training. The training consists of three months of academic training through NPTI or another training institute and nine months of field/on-job training in DTL substations and offices.
Candidates must obtain the prescribed qualifying marks in the training examination and final assessment. The notification specifies 65% minimum qualifying marks for the training examination and final assessment for absorption.
